This is a very fine daybed but I did have one problem... I didn't consider mattress thickness when I bought the mattress in town while waiting for the daybed frame to arrive. The mattress I bought is very thick and plush with a padded top. The mattress in the picture that describes the product must be, at the most, four or five inches thick. The one I bought is, I don't know, about twelve inches (or more) thick. So, when I set it in the frame... the arms and back of the bed frame mostly disappear. Kind of a problem when the whole purpose is for the bed to act as more of a couch during the day and only as a bed if I have a guest. At this point, I might as well just have a small iron bed frame under the bed as I don't really see much of the wooden frame. A simple solution is to just make sure you buy a suitable mattress in the first place. It is a very nice looking daybed otherwise, and quite solid and easy to assemble.

I purchased this bed for my father who was staying with us for a few weeks and did not like our sleeper sofa. I didn't want a metal daybed and the free mattress was great. I was afraid that the mattress would be the same as on our sofa but it provides great support and is very comfortable. I would recommend this bed to anyone who needs an extra sleeping space.

This is a good alternative if you are in pain and want your spouse to sleep. Not sacrificing comfort (relatively speaking). I really appreciated the free mattress offer. I would recommend this daybed and JustDaybeds to anyone looking to enhance rest for guests or an alternative when necessary.
